			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><img class="alignleft size-medium wp-image-118" title="Live like you were dying" src="http://possibilityinc.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/livelikeyouweredying1-300x225.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="225" />Sometimes it’s all too easy to just stay comfortable! It’s easy to stick with your usual routine and remain “stuck” going through the motions of life. Motions like working, collecting a pay check, cooking, cleaning, the same “things” every week, weekend, eating the same type of foods, living in the same area, patterns repeating, over and over and over again. Before you know it, 5 or 10 years have passed, and how much has changed?? Maybe you still want a new job, or want to move or travel or whatever other passions lie inside you, and maybe they still haven’t happened. Maybe you don’t even know what else you may want because you’re so comfortable in your routine that you’ve never even asked yourself. <em><strong>What would be on your “to do” list if you were dying??</strong></em> Put money and all obstacles aside, and <strong><em>list all that you’d want to do and achieve</em></strong>! Would you be content with what you’ve achieved so far or is there a lot you’d need to fit in??</p>
<p>Spring is here and it’s a time of new beginnings. This spring, let’s shake things up a bit, awaken a hidden passion, calling, and become more alive! <strong><em>“Playing it safe can lead to staleness and depression”</em></strong> as said in Doreen Virtue’s Archangel Oracle Cards when speaking on the topic of passion. Take a risk, do something you wouldn’t normally do, drive a different way to work, plan an adventurous trip or different type of vacation! If you normally go to the beach, try a trip to the mountains or any other new place that you&#8217;ve never been. As Tim McGraw sings, &#8220;<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LxDkWBvxHEI">Live Like you were dying</a>&#8220;!!</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><a href="http://possibilityinc.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/busy-women.gif"><img src="http://possibilityinc.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/busy-women.gif" alt="" title="Juggling a little too much??" width="300" height="250" class="alignleft size-full wp-image-112" /></a>It takes a commitment and effort to yourself to stay balanced and not overcommit. It’s very easy to overcommit ourselves because temptations are everywhere. You may have work engagements, lunches or dinners with friends or co-workers, someone asks you to help them move or paint, a party here, a class there, an event, this, that, and so much more. Maybe you work a full time job and you want to build a business on the side or 2 or 3, or your taking classes part-time.   </p>
<p>How do you know if you are overcommitting? I’m going to share a personal story to illustrate. It was Friday night and I was about to go to sleep and had planned on taking a yoga alignment class at 10am the next morning and also had a few other errands to run like the post office, gas, etc. A friend texted me that night and asked if I wanted to take a bootcamp class at 9am. I thought, “I can fit it all in. I’ll just leave bootcamp early and still fit in yoga”. So Saturday comes, I’m headed to bootcamp at 9am, and I feel rushed. I shoveled down breakfast and in the car and think “I shouldn’t have commited to bootcamp. I feel rushed and stressed over racing from one place to the next.” I thought that I should turn around but I was already driving and already told my friend that I’d be there. So I workout and leave 25 minutes after class starts. I decide to try to fit in the post office and gas before my 10am class. I forget the address I needed for the package I was mailing, and leave the post office without mailing anything.  “A wasted trip” I thought. I get to yoga 5 minutes late, the doors are locked and I miss class!  So instead of a leisurely Saturday where I would have woken up, eaten breakfast, and walked to yoga (it’s within walking distance to my home), I feel stressed, rushed, and frustrated that I missed the class I wanted to take. Instead of 2 workouts, I barely got any workout and it wasn’t enjoyable. </p>
<p>The morale of the story is to pay attention to what you’re commiting to. You can’t do it all!  And if you try, you may become what has been coined a “jack of all trades and master of none.”  Even if you’re already driving (you’ve already commitment to something), and you have the slightest feeling or thought in your head that you don’t want to do it anymore, it’s okay to turn around!!! If you think you may disappoint someone, recognize that you are the most important person that needs to be taken care of, because if you don’t, who else will?? At the end of the day, it’s your life and you need to decide to focus on what makes you happy and feel good, regardless of any other things, ideas, etc.  that may jump onto our paths and distract us.  When distractions do come, you’ll know that you can just swerve around them, smile, and keep going! You have somewhere to be!! </p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>It’s inevitable and healthy to have differing views in any relationship whether it be with friends, family, significant others or co-workers. We are all unique. We all have our own communication styles, upbringing, experiences and beliefs that are completely unique to our individual journeys. <em>It’s important for us to maintain our own individuality <strong>AND</strong> come together in partnership with others.</em> “And” being the key component. For example, reading a book or listening to another’s story and lessons, can be very powerful, however, sometimes if we take it too seriously, we may hinder our own individuality.  We may compare ourselves, put ourselves in a place of right, wrong, better, worse or even start to accept others theories and beliefs as our own. One person’s joy and success can be another person’s poison. It’s important to take the time to be still, to write, to do what you enjoy and to listen to your own intuitive nudges, because inside of you, is your own unique book. It contains wisdom, knowledge, guidance and all that brings YOU peace. <em>True compromise comes from knowing and accepting you</em>, perfectly, as you are in this moment, <em>AND seeing that uniqueness in others</em> and finding a way to co-exist in harmony.   </p>
<p><strong>Exercise<a href="http://possibilityinc.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/compromise.jpg"><img src="http://possibilityinc.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/compromise-300x230.jpg" alt="" title="Individuality and Compromise" width="300" height="230" class="alignleft size-medium wp-image-99" /></a> to Master the Art of Compromise</strong><br />
•	Be your own author. Write a few inspirational poems, quotes or affirmations. Do this to remind yourself of your own individuality and that you are the author of your life.<br />
•	Sit quietly with a pen and paper and write the first thing that pops in your head. Don’t put any pressure on yourself. Let it flow easily. Pretend you’re back in kindergarten. Anything that you write will get a big smiley face sticker!   </p>
<p>Below is an example of a few poems that I wrote. Please don’t follow this example. This is just to illustrate how simple it can be. </p>
<p><strong>LOVE</strong><br />
Love is eternal bright and ever new.<br />
Without it we can feel sad and blue.<br />
Love is joy.<br />
Love is Peace.<br />
Love will light your way.<br />
Follow the path of love and never go astray. </p>
<p><strong>JOY</strong><br />
Joy is contagious.<br />
Spread it round.<br />
Laugh, smile, jump and play.<br />
Let joy radiate throughout your day.</p>
<p><strong>PEACE</strong><br />
Peace is a place of calm, serenity and stillness.<br />
Inside of that is joy, love and contentment.<br />
Contentment is perfectly still,<br />
perfectly love, perfectly calm,<br />
and perfectly at peace. </p>

" width="300" height="238" class="alignleft size-medium wp-image-90" /></a>Have you ever felt unhappy inside, stressed, overwhelmed, anxiety, your energy is drained, your life, relationships and/or work are a struggle, little things everywhere and anywhere bother you, you’re not yourself and life feels exhausting!!</p>
<p>Sometimes we may bury our souls longings and feelings so deep that we may not even realize that they are there.  We may recognize part of the “surface” feelings, like being unhappy where we live, work, or in a relationship, but that it just the surface. There is actually more, deep inside, that is causing you to feel that way and that is what must be uncovered to be free, happy and live your best life! </p>
<p>It is ok to feel HOWEVER you feel. Are you mad at life, the universe, sad, unfulfilled, lonely, not listening to your heart, you don’t want to work, life’s not fair, you’re not in alignment with your life purpose or who you are? <strong>What is it you are not admitting to yourself??</strong></p>
<p>Sometimes we don’t want to admit we feel how we feel. We “try” to put on a smile, read affirmations, or maybe just get “busy” and continue to shove it away because somehow, somewhere we were told that you’re not supposed to be sad, mean, mad, or miserable. Society, family or friends don’t approve. <strong>You don’t want to feel that way! </strong><strong>Whatever it is that you’re not “Supposed” to feel is OKAY</strong><em>. That’s where you are today, in this moment, and that is fine!! The only way to release it and make a shift, is to truly uncover the deeper feeling or belief and just acknowledge it! Being aware, knowing yourself and getting deep will open up new doors opportunities in your life. <em>The absolute best thing you can do for yourself is to get real with yourself and acknowledge whatever you’re feeling.<br />
</em><br />
Whether it’s a belief, a way of thinking, or fear from the past, you are feeling that way for a reason! Once you’ve identified and acknowledged that it is okay to feel that way, if you truly are ready to make a change, you are now prepared to get the help you need to do so!! Below are steps to getting real and moving forward!</p>
<p>Steps to admitting your truth. </p>
<p>1.	<strong>JOURNAL JOURNAL JOURNAL!</strong> Commit to ONE FULL WEEK, every morning, for 7 mornings! Do what one author, Julie Cameron, calls “morning pages”!! Wake up early every morning (I promise it’s worth it). Get an 8&#215;11 legal pad and write 3 full pages of WHATEVER comes out. Even if you think you’ve written enough at 1 page, you must continue until you fill 3 full pages. The first page is typically surface gunk and by page 3 you’ll get deeper into the real you. Even if you think you don’t need to do it, I promise, if you are consistent, you will be amazed at what will come out, how you’ll feel after and the insight that is inside you. <strong>You just must make A LITTLE time and all the answers and messages that you need</strong>, in this moment, <strong>will flow</strong> out of you!!!   You can hide this journal in a place that NO ONE will see, maybe under a mattress or even rip it up after writing, if you need to. Know that you can write WHATEVER you want!! Get angry, mad, sad, crazy, and then get happy. Write ANYTHING and EVERYTHING! Get real! </p>
<p>2.	Once you acknowledge clearly, how you’re feeling and what you need to get real with, then decide what to do next. If you still don’t know, <strong>Ask for Help!!!</strong> You can use prayer or before bed ask for a message to be shown to you in your dreams that you’ll remember clearly when you wake up. Keep a notebook and pen next to your bed and whenever you wake up, write down your dreams! </p>
<p>3.	Hire a coach, therapist, or counselor. Admit and share your true feelings to get support in moving to the next step.  It’s okay and actually highly recommended to <strong>get support </strong>from an expert that’s been through and understands where you are and can provide new insight and support. We’re all on this journey together and here to help one another. Get support!! </p>
<p>4.	<strong>Show compassion to yourself</strong> and soul for feeling however you feel. Feel it. It’s okay to feel sad or unhappy. Do whatever you need to do for yourself to feel it!! When the feeling comes up, talk yourself through it and chose how you want to be. Tell yourself “It’s okay that I’m getting mad right because I won’t be in this situation forever.” Reaffirm the actions you are taking to get to a better place. Acknowledge yourself. </p>
<p>5.	Chose to <strong>accept where you are in this moment</strong>, see the good in it, honor yourself and keep moving forward</p>
<p>6.	<strong>Be good to you </strong>during the journey!! Ask yourself often, “What, in my heart, do I need?” Do you need to take a break, take a walk outside, stretch, schedule a massage, meditate, go to your favorite coffee shop, paint, or get some fresh air and be in nature? Whatever it is, DO IT! </p>

<p><em><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Change the little things. Change your routine!!</span></em> For example, if you wear your hair part to one side, switch it to the other. If you wear your hair down or straight, wear it up and curly. <strong>If you sleep on the left side of the bed, sleep on the right.</strong> If you drive a certain way every day to work, school or anywhere else, take a different way there. If you always eat oatmeal for breakfast, eat granola or greek yogurt with fruit. Buy and wear clothes or accessories that you would never usually wear. Play music you never usually listen too, even if it’s only for 10 minutes. <strong>Do WHATEVER you can to CHANGE what you U<em>SUALLY </em>do! </strong></p>

<p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Why it works?? </span></strong></p>
<p>By taking little steps toward change, you are affirming you are ready for change. You  are taking action. You are welcoming in the new. You are open to new things and new opportunities.  Congratulations!! Your life is changing in a positive way!</p>

<p>It’s inevitable that life has its ebbs and flows, ups and downs, highs and lows. Death occurs, a new baby is born, something ends and something new will begin. Imagine life is like riding a horse. You’re truly just along for ride. Sometimes the horse may trot, other times gallop or jump hurdles but always remember your job, which is to focus, hold on, and enjoy the ride. Doreene Virtue makes decks of cards with positive messages called oracle cards. One of her cards says that “God is in charge. <em>Don’t struggle against the flow because there is a natural course and it’s important to trust that.</em> Enjoy your life because God is handling any apparent problems.” So if at any point, you find the bets are high and the tensions on, my wish for you is to sing. <em><strong>Today’s assignment</strong></em> is to play Rascal Flats song called “My Wish” or any other positive song that has a message that you connect with. <strong>Turn the music up and sing as loud as you can!! Sing to yourself in the mirror, sing while driving, serenade yourself. </strong> Be good to you. <em>Smile.</em> Today’s a bright new day!!</p>

<p><a href="http://possibilityinc.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/magicwand.jpg"><img class="alignleft size-full wp-image-59" title="Magic wand" src="http://possibilityinc.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/magicwand.jpg" alt="Wave and it shall be" width="300" height="300" /></a>There can be so many demands that are put on us, either by ourselves or by others. We are supposed to work, exercise, eat healthy which may require planning, cooking and cleaning and be responsible, ethical and happy! We are supposed to keep our houses or personal space clean, maintained and organized. We may have to care for our children, significant other, family and ourselves. We have to balance time with our friends, life’s activities, and find time to meditate or do things for US!</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>All of this life stuff, is what we signed up for, whether we believe it or not. You can think of life like being enrolled in a full time University. The school of Hard Knocks.   Life’s experiences are your hands-on simulated classroom learning.  Once you pass one class, hooray, you’re on to the next. You may eventually become a professor, and even then, you still continue your education. You’re enrolled for this life!</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>So this year, when setting goals and intentions, or even if you just find yourself getting frustrated  over situations in your classroom, remember it takes time to earn your PHD. Don’t overwhelm yourself. Take each day and moment, one step, one focus, one breath at a time.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>Below are some quick tips for optimal learning!</p>
<ol>
<li>Decide what you want to focus on bringing into your life for the first quarter of 2012. Example: Redecorating a room in your home and a new exercise routine.</li>
<li>Now pick ONE thing to tackle first and break it down into small and achievable steps that you enjoy.  Example:  Start with exercise. Do your research and find something you ENJOY! Think outside the box and put your energy and focus fully into it!</li>
<li>Once you’ve incorporated your first goal into your life and feel good about it, then, and only then, move to goal number two.</li>
<li>Be good to YOU every step of the way. If you’re tired, rest. If you’re happy, sing. If you’re angry, scream. Honor you and make learning FUNNNN!!!!!!!</li>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Our mind was explained to me in a way that makes so much sense. It’s like a crazy monkey brain. Our minds are like spoiled brat kids that always want their way. If you don’t give in, they throw a temper tantrum. Maybe you know, in your heart, that you need to eat healthier (so you can live a better life with more energy), find work that you actually enjoy (is that really possible ?? YES!), meditate daily, make more time for yourself, slow down, be happier, or whatever else you know would be good for you. So you’ve identified the higher goal, and often, your mind then steps in for <em>mission sabbatoge</em>. It wants to eat French fries, chocolate and too much of it. It wants to repeat and replay over and over, the same story that you want to break free and move on from.</p>
<p>The first step to control Monkey Brain is to recognize it. “Negative thoughts are like toxins produced by the mind” and we need some purifying!  “The best way to improve our life is to constantly keep positive thoughts in our minds and to be able to change negative thoughts to positive”.  (Quotes from Essentials of Yoga Practice and Philiosophy by Swami Sitaramananda).</p>
<p>And remember this is not a one time, instant fix cleanse but it is well worth the effort, if you’re seeking more peace, happiness, quiet and a brain that goes with your true flow!  You’ll need to bring along patience, an open heart, and a commitment without expectation.  I’d also suggest finding a teacher to help and support you  (someone detached from your current life and can give you outside perspective and teachings).</p>

<p>See below for some quick tips on how to keep positive and detox your monkey brain this 2012.   The tips are focused primarily on <strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Self love. </span></strong>If you balance giving to yourself, giving to others, and being open to receive just as equally, your mind, body and spirit will be in a balanced state.  Being balanced will make it easier to stay positive and remain in a good clear space, no matter what life presents you with.</p>
<p>Detox 101 for Monkey Brain:</p>
<ol>
<li><strong><em>Self Love!! Spend time alone doing what brings you joy!!</em></strong>
<ol>
<li>Spend time in nature-Walk, hike, bike, ski, touch a tree, sit by a fire or bundle up and lay on a blanket and star gaze, camp, play a game like Frisbee</li>
<li>Book a spa day</li>
<li>Write in your journal</li>
<li>Sign up for a new weekly activity-learn a new language, cooking class, karate or yoga</li>
<li>Do some sort of arts or crafts. You could make a vision board.</li>
<li>LAUGH! Ask your friends to tell you funny stories, look up jokes online, make up a funny game or watch a comedy, dance or take a laughing class</li>
<li>Make a self love book. Compile pictures and things that describe you. Pictures of places you’ve traveled, places you’d like to travel, your accomplishments, things you love, etc. Honor yourself!</li>

Each season represents a special time. Winter is a time to honor our faith and take quite time for self-love and self-reflection.   It’s a time to slow down! It’s also a time for celebrating and a time for expressing gratitude.  It’s a time to be in nature, even if it’s really cold. The fresh crisp air can bring insight and inspiration, so bundle up!</p>
<p>Before the New Year, take some time to yourself and do the exercises below. Honor yourself for all you achieved in 2011.</p>
<ol>
<li>Go inside your heart and take a review of the past year. Acknowledge and honor the lessons that you’ve learned, and decide what you’re choosing to release for the upcoming year.</li>
<li>Make a list of everything that you’re grateful for.</li>
<li>Make a list of everything you want to manifest for the winter season.</li>
<li>Ask yourself, if I was given 11 million dollars, what, in my heart, would I want to do with it? This is a way to truly uncover your highest goal in life and life mission.</li>

<p>The holiday season is here! The weather forecast projects reindeer and candy canes. But sometimes the holidays can be stressful. So just remember, when life gives you lemons make lemonade. That means that when life gives you something that looks or tastes sour, just change the form. Add some sugar and make it taste better. Life is bound to throw curve balls or maybe even a straight shot, sometimes straight to the face, and then leave us with a black eye. We’re bound to have good days and “bad” ones.</p>
<p>While we may have the brightest of intentions to stay in a positive place, even when the going gets rough, in todays world, it is hard! Many of us have gotten so disconnected from ourselves, our hearts, true happiness, what we love, balance and doing what fulfills us.  <strong>We must fill our own cup before we can cheers with another</strong>. We all have lessons to learn and a life purpose to fulfill, so let’s add some sugar and make the best of each cup were handed. <em>When life gives you a new shirt, put it on. A new hat, wear it. A new place to live, go for it. A new mountain to climb, hike that thing with a smile. </em></p>
<p><em></em><strong>Quick Tips to Keep Your Lemonade Flowing:</strong></p>
<ol>
<li>If a baseball is coming your way, to avoid a black eye, <strong>take a time out</strong>!</li>
<li>Take a walk, even if it’s cold outside. Bundle up, breathe deep and <strong><em>soak up some SUN! </em></strong></li>
<li>Get a journal and <strong>write</strong> in it regularly. Try recording your dreams in it too.</li>
<li><strong>SING,</strong> <strong>scream or dance</strong> with positive jams that vibe with your mood.</li>
<li>Find a quiet space and pop in a guided meditation cd. Yoga Nidra is a type of guided meditation that keeps your mind busy by following the words. If your mind tends to go a million miles an hour, and you find it hard to quiet your thoughts, this could be a good option to test out. It may help you temporarily <em>get away from the busyness of your mind</em> and be able to<strong> relax</strong>. Repeated practice will train your mind and body so it will be easier to maintain such a space in everyday life.</li>
